Executive Producer
WGRZ, the number one news station in Buffalo New York is seeking a motivated, self-starter Executive Producer who can lead a team with respect and empathy
The ideal candidate is a proven newsroom leader with experience in coaching news teams
Experience in studio storytelling and multi-platform integration preferred

Responsibilities
- Work with producers to create compelling content for all platforms.
- Copy-edit reporter packages, newscast scripts, and digital copy.
- Generate unique, compelling, and innovative story/show ideas and content.
- Mentor producers and producers-in-residence to excel and grow
- Motivate a team of skilled journalists
- Contribute to multiple platforms daily, including writing for the website and posting on social media.
- Collaborate with a team to produce the most creative, compelling stories.
- Work collaboratively with other managers and perform tasks as required by the News Director
Job Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of newsroom leadership experience preferred as a newsroom manager
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays, mornings, evenings, and weekends on occasion as news warrants
- Experience successfully leading teams
- Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of AP ENPS, and Edius,
- Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time-sensitive deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, communications, or related field a plus
- Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
- Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
- Physical Demands Set: Sedentary work: Involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
Compensation Range: 55k-75k
