Social Media Manager
Daily Blast Live is looking for a fun, focused and creative individual to join our digital team as the key strategic lead for efforts across Daily Blast Live’s social media platforms.
With the support of the cross-functional digital team and under the guidance of the Digital Director, the Social Media Manager will take the lead role of the day-to-day management of DBL’s social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
The ideal candidate must be a creative thinker who is skilled with editing video and images using Adobe Suite. The Social Media Manager must also have strong journalistic editorial and creative writing skills, stay up-to-date on industry and social media publishing trends and be willing to have some fun!
Our ideal candidate is likely a social strategist at an advertising or social media agency, or a digital journalist with broadcast news experience.
Responsibilities Include, but aren’t limited to:
- Pivot and craft compelling digital content from broadcast material and publish it in a consistent brand voice
- Use hashtags and tags to promote discoverability and shareability
- Strategize and create non-show material that leads to virality
- Manage Facebook, YouTube and Instagram playlists
- Communicate with DBL audience, affectionately known as the DBL Nation, through Direct Messaging platforms on Facebook, Instagram, etc.
- Schedule livestreams
- Edit material for a variety of formats, including mobile friendly 1x1 and 9x16 Stories formats
- Report engagement/interaction metrics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Daily Blast Live is a nationally syndicated daytime entertainment and trending news television show based in Denver that airs on Scripps, TEGNA and Hearst stations. We broadcast 4.5 hours of live television each day. We stream all of those shows across YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch.
