KREM/KSKN in Spokane, WA has an immediate opening for a Senior Multiskilled Journalist to join our great team in the beautiful Inland Northwest.
This team member will bring a level of storytelling experience that allows them to be a “go to” reporter for big breaking news events, consistently cover the day’s big story and have the skills to cover not one, but two stories daily. This person has the knowledge/experience to handle in-depth storytelling daily. We expect a Senior Multiskilled Journalist to ask tough questions, hold the powerful accountable and go beyond the basic facts of daily news. We expect this person to develop sources and contacts in the community and pitch enterprise stories daily. In addition, this Senior Multiskilled Journalist will lead by example with a strong presence on Digital and social media platforms. This person will also have the skills to help mentor other storytellers at KREM and help the leadership team champion new initiatives, push innovation, etc.
Candidates should submit a link to a video resume reel, as well as examples of social media posts that showcase storytelling and personality. This is a full-time, hourly, union position that reports to the Assistant News Director.
