WOI/KCWI-TV, A TEGNA Company, is seeking a full-time Sales Support Specialist. The successful candidate will directly support our sales team and sales management. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

Act as liaison between station national sales department and national sales reps to assist with every aspect of the placement, processing, and maintenance of orders for local TV advertising accounts.

Develop a firm understanding of the sales process, ComScore and/or Nielsen ratings, and Wide Orbit software. Maintaining orders once placed including revisions due to program changes and/or pre-empted spots, posting orders on a weekly basis, assist in management reports and support.


• Accurately setting up new account profiles and inputting broadcast and digital orders.

• Organizing and maintaining schedules and paperwork. Collaborating with Account Executives to input acceptable make-good packages, posts, and facilitate accurate trafficking of orders, as needed. Resolve discrepancies.

•  Pull reports as needed, including pre-logs, post-logs, invoices, late-runs, audience delivery/post-buy analysis reports, etc.

•  Working with Account Executive and Sales Manager, to build PowerPoint presentation shells and/or to customize sales materials.

•  Cross training in Traffic to provide back up support and vacation relief.

•  Effectively using all station provided sales tools & software, including Wide Orbit Traffic, Wide Orbit Sales, Media Monitors, Scarborough, Admall, Wiki, ComScore and any other company tools provided.

•  Providing additional administrative duties as requested

•  Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

• Respond appropriately to incoming calls and emails from clients

•  Provide back up support for other sales, traffic, administrative, and other station personnel

•  Coordinate sales project merchandising and promotional support

•  Organize departmental and station functions

•  Maintain files


•  College Degree preferred.

•  Experience in a high pressure, fast paced environment is a plus.

•  Ability to work effectively and independently as part of a team.

•  Ability to effectively communicate directly with clients.

•  Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects under deadline pressure.

•  Proficient in Microsoft Office and extremely computer literate.

•  Ability to effectively solve problems.

•  Creative and able to adapt quickly to change.

•  Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organization and time management.
