JOB DESCRIPTION

WTHR 13, the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, is seeking a Sales Project Manager to function as a leader in creating and implementing multi-platform, on-air marketing and new media campaigns to grow the station’s incremental revenue. This Sales Project Manager will create and implement successful strategies by capitalizing on the station’s strengths, creating sales opportunities, and building lucrative local partnerships, as well as lead efforts to create and maintain dynamic, attractive sales content and sponsorships on WTHR and all interactive properties that are a part of WTHR.com. This position focuses on the success of the station, sales team, and top-line revenue results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Creating and delivering effective, high-impact multi-media sales packages, presentations, and collateral to be used in the development of new business
• Working with the Director of Sales, Local Sales Managers, National Sales Managers, Internet Sales Managers, and Production to develop and implement 360 degree sales strategies.  This includes Collaboration with the TEGNA Marketing Solutions Team.
• Owns the relationship between Sales and all other departments. Works with Sales Team to develop and fine-tune processes and workflow. Collaborates with Marketing, Sales and News to develop, create and execute innovative concepts designed to drive revenue. meet deadlines and identify opportunities to utilize production to create opportunities (i.e. sample creative spots for new business clients, etc)
• Collaborate with Marketing colleagues at other TEGNA properties to identify new ideas and opportunities to create revenue.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years’ experience in project management.
• Excellent communicator who can manage expectations, manage simultaneous projects and consistently meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in business presentation such as Microsoft PowerPoint is a must, and working knowledge of common Adobe Creative Suite software, such as Photoshop, Premiere (basic photo manipulation, basic video editing, media import/export, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
• Ability to think and lead strategically.
• Ability to prioritize critical functions to ensure individual and team success.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field preferred.
• Prior broadcast television or other media-based background a plus.
