KUSA-TV, the TEGNA owned NBC affiliate in Denver, CO is seeking a Sales and Media Coordinator. The Sales and Media Coordinator (SMC) is an expert when it comes to the TEGNA Team and Tools. He/she knows how to best create effective sales materials, project manage ongoing sales initiatives, and execute digital media campaigns to deliver the upmost results for the advertisers. The SMC’s expertise represents a key element in the ad solution package that we deliver to the clients.

The SMC interacts closely with the AEs to understand the business needs and challenges of the advertisers and translates these business needs into innovative ad solutions that deliver a strong ROI.

Pay range: $50,000-$55,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Project manages bringing client needs to life in tailored solutions and supporting Account Executives (Salespeople) during interactions with prospective and current advertisers. This SMC has an in-depth understanding of TEGNA’s various products, verticals, and solutions.
  • Develops sales materials outlining strategic solutions to leverage TEGNA products and services
  • Keeps the Account Executives (AEs) informed throughout the ideation process of a solution development
  • Develops a full proposal to turn over to the AE, once an advertiser is aware of the solution and is interested in seeing a proposal
  • Interacts with advertisers directly or through AEs to gather necessary information needed to produce a proposal tailored to their needs
  • Reviews proposals with AEs to ensure readiness. (Presence of the SMC may be required when the presentation team delivers the proposal to the advertiser.)
  • Works with internal TEGNA team to determine if an existing solution can be deployed (such as a TEGNA Marketing Solutions program); develops unique concepts that address the desired business results
  • Once the sale is made, work with AE to ensure smooth transition to Account Manager and the rest of the fulfillment team
  • Liaison between sales and news departments to launch sponsored content programs with linear and digital components.
  • Project manage social media posts and execute ad strategies related to sponsored content project needs
  • Ensure AEs complete Campaign Brief in Salesforce
  • Acknowledges receipt of Campaign Briefs and gathers any additional information needed from the AEs

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years related experience in pre-sale solution role, preferably within the advertising industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficient in developing professional client facing Power Point presentations
  • Experience with CRM software
  • TV & Digital marketing knowledge
  • Experience using social media ad platforms (Facebook Ad Manager preferred)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Effective note taking skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
