WFAA is seeking a dynamic and creative Part Time Production Specialist. The successful candidate will work 20hrs per week shooting and editing for Good Morning Texas, WFAA’s daily lifestyle show. This role will also require setting up and operating studio production equipment including robotic cameras, studio lights and lighting control technology, and related audio equipment. Daily duties in each area will depend on station needs.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities
• Shoot and edit segments/programs for Good Morning Texas, including daily program post-production.
• Work closely with Good Morning Texas Executive Producer and Senior Producer to create content on all GMT platforms as assigned.
• Responsible for the successful functioning and operation of studio and related equipment during live and/or recorded programs or segments including jib camera and hand-held MOVI camera as needed or assigned.
• Act as floor director on live broadcasts as assigned by control room personnel.
Qualifications:
• Experience as photojournalist/editor with demonstrated ability to shoot and edit with minimum of direct supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and other related digital applications.
• Experience as studio camera operator/technician including robotic camera operation, hand-held and jib, and all phases of studio production.
• College degree in media production or related field preferred.
