WTSP-TV, 10 Tampa Bay the CBS affiliate in the 11th Market, is looking for a News Coordinator. This person is multiskilled and agile when it comes to problem-solving and facilitating a fast-paced work environment. The position is primarily WFH now but will transition back to the newsroom in 2021.
The duties of this position include but are not limited to being a conduit between our general viewer emails, social messages (direct and post) and other digital outreach AND our content producing teams. This person would develop a response system under Director of Content guidance and approval. The News Coordinator would funnel stories, comments and events to the appropriate news manager for dissemination and work to create a 100% response rate to all interactions from our community. The News Coordinator is also responsible for valuable and needed assistance to the Director of Content. This is a support role for several administrative duties from scheduling, payroll, time card management, PTO requests, budget, expense reports, invoices.
