Multi-Platform Producer
WBNS 10TV seeks a Morning Multi-Platform Producer to enhance, grow and assist our new Wake Up CBUS morning team. This self-starting journalist will combine the key skills of the assignment desk, digital content producer and line producer to elevate all our platforms. The successful candidate has prior line producing experience, a firm grasp of digital content and an understanding of social analytics and how to use these platforms. They will also be charged with creating original content and sharing it across all platforms.
Reports to: Morning Executive Producer
Responsibilities
- Enterprise and develop news stories
- Assignment desk: make calls on relevant stories that develop in the overnight hours (including breaking news) and advise producers appropriately
- Post content to 10tv.com
- Produce content for Wake Up CBUS broadcast
- Post content to 10TV social platforms
- Ignite social discussion and works closely with anchors and producers for daily conversation
Requirements
- BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field
- 2-5 years related experience as a line producer, digital content producer or assignment desk
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and multi-task confidently
- Comfortable with daily deadline pressure and ability to handle live breaking news situations and changing events
- Strong social media and social listening skills
