MSJ / MMJ (Reporter)
NEWS CENTER Maine, TEGNA's NBC stations in Portland and Bangor, Maine, has a full-time opening for a Multi-Skilled Journalist based in the Portland newsroom.
We want a smart, relentless news hound with a heart. Someone who sets aside bias and follows the facts. The right candidate can enterprise impact stories in southern Maine for a statewide audience. In this job you will set-up, shoot, write and edit stories daily and often wrap them with LIVE shots. You must understand the intrinsic connection between the broadcast and Social Media platforms and be able to fluidly move between them. We are looking for an aggressive journalist who wants to be the best storyteller, best live reporter, and provide the best social media and web content for the state of Maine.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years of experience MSJing
- Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or similar field
- Experience in videography, editing, and posting to the internet
- Active on Twitter, FB, Instagram, and Snapchat
- Knowledge of ENPS, Edius, and Axis graphics a plus
