Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge? KREM TV is looking for a Maintenance Engineer with basic knowledge of electronic systems and computer technology to work with our Engineering staff to provide technical support to KREM TV and KSKN TV. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing TV/Digital production, transmitter, and broadcast systems. This individual will also repair equipment in support of news-gathering, production and on-air operations and provide support of network-based equipment in conjunction with the IT Department. This role is a full-time, hourly, union position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to operational users.
• Provide Transmitter maintenance.
• Maintain and/or repair satellite receivers, cameras, switchers, graphic systems, audio equipment, routers, automation/editing systems, intercoms, monitors, and display systems.
• Consult and communicate with engineering management and other engineers on technical issues as required.
• Provide specific engineering signal flow diagrams for CAD documentation on all work performed on technical systems.
• Perform all technical work to engineering standards and practices.
• Provide PC/Mac hardware/software support, on-site installation, servicing and repair of computer workstations.
• Provide light building maintenance.
• Assist with LAN and WAN related hardware and software maintenance.
• Develop knowledge of facility specific IT needs and assist in supporting these systems.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Associate degree (AA) in electronics, related field or work experience in lieu of degree.
• Ability to install and maintain computer systems and network equipment.
• Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
• Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes including extended hours, weekends, and evenings if necessary.
• Must possess strong personal interaction skills, good communication skills, ability to work under pressure and deadlines, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work on ladders/lifts up to 15 ft., a valid driver’s license, and work varied shifts including holidays and weekends if necessary.
