WBNS, 10-TV, the TEGNA owned affiliate in Columbus, OH is seeking an aggressive, experienced, investigative storyteller to join its strong 10 Investigates team. The ideal candidate is an ethical, trusted journalist who excelsin research and using the latest tools and techniques to produce compelling investigative stories with impact.


-  Enterprise and develop short-term and long-term investigative projects

-  Contribute to daily and breaking news content

-  Dig into complex and important issues

-  Use open records laws and computer-assisted report skills to find information and add context to stories

-  Deliver on-air news segments in an engaging, exciting and accurate manner

-  Support multiple platforms with engaging content tailed to the audience

-  Shooting, writing and editing skills preferred


-  BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field

-  6 years or more as an investigative journalist

-  Seasoned on-air presence and personality

-  A portfolio with examples of investigative and breaking news reporting

-  Strong social media skills including an active presence on Twitter and Facebook

-  Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time pressure and deadlines

-  A passion for investigating and telling great stories

Work Environment: Outdoors

Physical Demands: Light work

Travel: Occasionally: 10-25%

Work Environment Set: Outdoors: performed in various outdoor environmental conditions
