JOB DESCRIPTION
KYTX in Tyler, Texas is looking for a fresh, engaging, and enterprising HOST/MSJ to join our morning team. In this role, you'll be responsible for co-anchoring each 2 hour weekday morning broadcast. You'll also take a leadership role in these shows, assisting with their planning, creation, and writing. In addition, you will contribute content and stories for both morning and evening shows. This role is much more than reading a prompter, it is about authenticity, relating with the audience, and providing context to the stories East Texans need to hear. We want a digitally savvy team member who can reach our audience and isn't afraid to connect. We want to add your charisma, skill, and expertise to our culture, and need someone passionate about innovation in journalism. Our ideal candidate needs to have a deep desire to make our community a better place. Community and promotional appearances may also be a part of your job duties.
