Director of Yield Management
Premion, the leading "Over-the-Top" Advertising Solution Platform, seeks an experienced Director of Yield Management to drive and deliver revenue fulfillment goals for our high growth digital video business. The Director of Yield Management is responsible for oversight of all booked and future business. You will be experienced in the rigorous task of ensuring that we manage our margin-based business to hit our EBIDA goals. Further the role is responsible for shaping both the yield management and campaign management groups. You will be responsible for building processes creating reports and techniques that will help the Executive team gain insights into the business as it pertains to pricing/pacing of campaigns ang potential revenue loss and margin delivery. This is a key and strategically important role that leads the overall post and pre-sale execution of services and client experience. Passion for uncovering new and evolving revenue opportunities through data analysis. Deep focus on perfecting the art of digital yield management through dynamic pricing and managing the flow of inventory supply with that of demand. The right person for this role obsesses over details, thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced collaborative environment, wants an opportunity to make a significant impact and jumps at the opportunity to take on new challenges.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and communicate the implementation of the inventory risk analysis process across the Sales organization
- Ensure that advertiser campaigns deliver revenue goals while also maximizing inventory fill across the digital partners
- Combine data sets, analyze, and develop actionable insights to solve problems and garner insights to optimize towards client goals & objectives.
- Report and manage margins across our ad servers and publisher partners
- Ensure we're delivering goals against our publisher partners
- Ability to build ad hoc forecasting and revenue models tailored to the situation and audience requesting the information.
- Develop sell-through and fill analysis for Sales/Planning and Revenue Management leadership
- Contribute to Leadership meetings and strategic planning for Sales Operations organization
- Manage inventory forecasting and availability across multiple end points
- Provide recommendations for ad product packaging, pricing and sales strategy for direct campaigns
- Mentor a team of Yield Analysts and Campaign Managers
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5-8+ years digital advertising experience with experience managing Yield/Pricing or Analytics support teams.
- 2-5 years of management experience
- Experience with digital ad serving systems (i.e. Freewheel or Google Ad Manager), Experience with an Order Management system (Operative experience a plus)
- Ability to coach, manage and lead by example in high growth and fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy and accountability.
- Professional communication skills, both internally and externally. Ability to articulate thoughts and concepts fluidly. Personality to quickly build rapport and build professional relationships.
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to quickly learn and grow new productivity software application tools.
- Expertise in training various Yield Management disciplines and concepts
- Experience developing, maintaining and reporting on established KPIs; ensures compliance with reporting and reliable data.
