The TEGNA Design Tank in Denver, Colorado is in search of a talented Designer/Project Manager to be part of an internal creative department servicing our broadcast television stations, ad sales marketing initiatives and digital platforms. 

Pay Range: $25.00 – $33.00 per hour


Works with TEGNA Marketing Solutions stakeholders, sales leadership teams and the Design Tank leadership team to help identify initiatives to move into video production.

Updates to product marketing and sales materials to include product copy updates through graphic execution and video edit.

Establishes deadlines, facilitate communications and coordinate schedules, creating a clear path of ownership and next steps.

Coordinates resources across projects and teams, tracking activities on projects and manages scope changes.

Will be active Motion Graphic Designer and Editor as well.

Prioritizes competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions.

Identifies needs for additional resources on projects as well as opportunities to improve overall processes.

Works closely with Creative Director and production teams on editorial execution and design.

Gains familiarity of library of original film content and TEGNA station provided content including all photographic still and video assets.

Occasionally edits overflow TMS projects that may need quick turnaround, but not take up the resources of an editor.


Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Must be able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

Exceptional project management skills as this role will have a heavy emphasis on project management.

A strong command of graphic design principles such as composition, color, typography, and photo treatment. This position must have strong motion design skills as well. Portfolio needs to demonstrate this.

Strong skills in NLE software as a video editor, Preferably Adobe Premiere. Portfolio also needs to demonstrate editing capabilities.

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator. InDesign is a nice to have.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to understand project scope and accurately assess time availability.

Highly motivated team player. Collaborates effortlessly with co-workers, while shouldering solo project responsibilities.
