Broadcast Operations Technician
KREM TV CBS / KSKN TV CW, the TEGNA stations in Spokane, Washington has an opening for a Broadcast Operations Technician. You will be responsible operating studio and control room equipment for a live newscast. Also responsible for preparing the studio for live newscast and assist in commercial or field productions. This position is a part time, individual contributor, union position that reports to the Broadcast Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the studio for live shows, making sure all guests and team members have microphones and resources needed.
- Operate handheld cameras for live production when assigned.
- Operate audio board for live production when assigned.
- Tidy and maintain the cleanliness of the Studio, PC, and Greenroom.
- Track and purchase needed studio and news equipment.
- Tag syndicated promotions.
- Assist in the production of News promotions.
- Maintain the News fleet of vehicles.
- At least one year of experience working in the industry or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage requests from various sources with an ability to work well with varied personalities within deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Valid Washington driver’s license and good driving record, able to lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally up to 80 pounds with or without an accommodation.
- Ability to work varied shifts including holidays, nights and weekends.
